Frequently asked questions

Is this my official CPP or OAS amount?
No. Enter your Service Canada estimate (or a rough age-65 figure). Timing adjustments use published −0.6%/+0.7% per month for CPP and +0.6% per month for OAS deferral.
How does OAS clawback work?
When net income exceeds the annual recovery-tax threshold, OAS is reduced by 15% of the excess until fully clawed back. Thresholds are indexed; we use the 2026 constant in our data file.
Is the GIS estimate exact?
No. GIS uses complex tables and income definitions. Our figure is a simplified phase-out for education only — confirm with Service Canada.
